1)Grow in your hunger for the Word of God (link on How To Study the Holy scriptures) =>> as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby (1 Peter 2:2 New King James Version (NKJV))
2) Grow in Faith and Love =>> We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other, (2 Thessalonians 1:3 New King James Version (NKJV))
3) Grow Diligently in Faith, Love and Grace =>> But as you abound in every thing, in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us, see that you abound in this grace also. (2 Corinthians 8:7 New King James Version (NKJV))
4) Grow in new levels of faith to keep you from stumbling =>> But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble (2 Peter 1:5-10 New King James Version (NKJV))

Baby (New Born) Christians
Get plugged into a weekly Bible Study (or cell or home group) and have the leader in the group match you up with a prayer partner who will call you during the week and read the Holy Bible and pray over the phone together.
Study the Holy Bible every day starting off with Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and the Book of Acts to start as well as reading a proverb a day for the day of the month and 5 Psalms a day. Study means take notes and listen to Holy Spirit show you truth. See yourself in the scenes in the Bible when Jesus is talking to the disciples and then see Jesus looking at you as you read His words that He spoke. Write your name beside every promise in the Holy Bible.
Take stock of anything that causes you to stumble in your walk with Jesus to stop doing that bad activity or bad habit by asking for more Grace and power of Holy Spirit in your life. If you cannot break free of a bad habit, give it to God and let God change you. You cannot save yourself nor can you be holy by yourself. That is why you have to depend on Holy Spirit every day yielding to doing things God’s ways. You need mature Christian friends around you. Yes it may mean changing old friends and meeting new friends at your church that will encourage you to live God’s plan for your life.
Constantly remind yourself that a baby Christian does not become an adult Christian overnight. A baby learning to walk, falls but gets right back up looking to run into the parent’s arms. So you need to be reminded that when you stumble, repent immediately, asking forgiveness from Jesus, as well as forgiving yourself. Don’t beat yourself over the head getting into condemnation but run back into Jesus’ arms of constant love, acceptance and forgiveness. Ask for more faith and grace every day in Jesus might name!. Grace is God’s favor, power and ability to do in you what you cannot do. Talk to Jesus all the time to develop that love relationship with Him. You don’t need to earn God’s approval. He loves you all the time. You want to serve Jesus because you love Him so much. Remember He has rescued you from hell and has forgiven you of all your sins and is granting you eternal life in heaven. (Note: if you have not prayed the sinners prayer, go to the home page and pray that prayer to Jesus from your heart).

Worship God daily singing your own love songs to Jesus looking up at Him, smiling at Jesus and seeing Him, by faith, smiling back down on you. This is very important to those of you that need to break free from addictions or bad habits. The more you get into the presence of God worshiping at Church services, (so great to be at as many church services as possible) the more you can get your mind renewed to the ways of God. God’s Word(the Holy Bible) is His Will. His Will is His Word. Faith begins where the will of God is known. Remember Hebrews 11:6 which says: “without faith it is impossible to please God”,
Start a journal, dating each journal entry you write and asking God to show you scriptures for all impressions you get from God. Review this journal every month to see how you are growing in your relationship with Jesus. A young Christian needs to get confirmation on major things God is showing you. Confirmation means consult your Bible study(cell or home group) leader or one of your mature Church Leaders for advice on major decisions.
Adult (Mature) Christians
Be warned as this level is where a lot of Christians stop growing as they have become hypocritical. They stay at the young Christian stage because of: 1) Fear that God will ruin their life (which is wrong since Jesus Christ is the source of Peace, Love and Joy), 2) fear of giving total control to God (as they don’t totally trust Him) or 3) Lusts for riches and pleasures of life. You need to have more faith in God’s plans since the devil throws fear and lust at all Christians. Learn not to fall into these traps for hypocritical Christians discourage others from becoming Adult Christians since it makes them feel better to justify their wrong excuses. Remember, NEVER stop growing in Christ. Always delight to grow in love, faith, grace and all the fruit of Holy Spirit listed in the Bible. Maturing in Christ means dying to the world’s ways(daily crucify the lusts of the flesh in Jesus’ name) and living totally for Jesus. Adult water baptism means as you go under the water, you die to your old ways and old reputation and arise new up out of the water to live by the power of Holy Spirit willing to take up the cross daily and follow Jesus.
There are so many books to get more training on in your Christian walk however never get too busy to spend time daily in the Word of God (the Holy Bible), mediating on the scriptures as Holy Spirit unfolds them to you. You can click on this link: Good-Books-To-Read if you want grow. Start of at the beginning of the list of Books on this list and read as many of those books as you can or borrow them from someone else. The Holy Bible is your foundation so never get side tracked off of that. Be on guard against pride, fear, doubt and unbelief as the devil has nothing to sell but junk. The devil also sells thoughts of depression, suicide, anxiety, worry, sadness, hopelessness etc so say “That is not my thought” Rebuke and dismiss that thought in Jesus’ name. James 4:6:-8 says humble yourselves, submit to God, resist or rebuke the devil (in Jesus’ name) and the devil will flee! Then spend time worshiping Jesus. Remember Jesus was tempted by the devil too and every time He answered the devil by quoting scripture. Jesus has conquered the devil 2000 years ago so command the devil to leave your family, assets, job and territory. Rebuke the devil in the mighty name of Jesus. Plead the blood of Jesus every day over all your affairs for protection.
Be a doer of the Word of God and not a hearer only. Doing the Word of God means being obedient to God out of a heart of love for Jesus and not getting into Christian legalism. Christian legalism means trying to earn your right standing with God by doing your own good works. This often occurs when a person does not have a good earthly Daddy role model so has no clue how much God the Heavenly Father loves them, adores them, and is constantly there for them when they get into a mess. So if you miss a prayer time by mistake or eat something by mistake during your fasting time, don’t allow yourself to be beaten up by the devil’s condemnation. God is love and He loves you unconditionally and is always thinking about you as a son and daughter of his. So learn to receive His love every day and out of that great love relationship in your daily prayer times, you will learn that you just need to yield to Him and let the mighty power of Holy Spirit do the works of Jesus through you all for God’s glory and never for your own gain of money nor fame.
