Discipleship – 7) Provision From The Lord Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ Is Your Provider.   Jesus Christ who not only is your Savior but also your provider.  Psalm 23 says the Lord is my shepherd I shall not want or lack.  Jesus said in many places he came to preach the good news to the poor.  What is the good news?  God is your provider as you obey his plan and work at the job and locations He asks you to do.    John 10:10 says Jesus came to give life and life more abundant however the devil is trying to steal our finances so we need to bind him each day off our affairs and cast the devil out.

Jesus Christ wants to bless us with His promises in the Bible if we believe by faith.  Philippians 4:19 says God will meet all your needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus.  Study the Bible on the financial miracles like Jesus Christ feeding the 5000 and 4000, Jesus filling the fisherman’s boat more than once and even telling Peter where to find a coin to pay the government taxes.

Abraham moved around to where God wanted.  When there was a famine in one place he moved.  Isaac also experienced a famine and moved locations to get provisions.  So listen to the Lord.  Philippians 4:13 says you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you, so trust God no matter what age you are.

Trust God for provisions.  Even in the Old Testament God multiplied food for a widow and her son when there was a famine.  Another passage in the Old Testimony tells about a woman’s husband who died and the creditors were coming to take her family.  She listened to God to borrow all these empty jars and then starting to pour the last little bit of Olive Oil she had into them.  She trusted God and as she keep pouring from her one small container, the oil multiplied and she filled up ALL the jars she borrowed.  She was wise to get further instructions from God who told her to sell the oil to pay off her debts and she and her family could live off the rest.  So have faith in God and keep tithing.  Malachi 3:8-10 says God will rebuke the devourer from trying to steal from us when return 10% of our income back to the Lord giving God His tithe.

Pray and listen to God and continually grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Follow Jesus Christ and the example of the disciples in the book of Acts. We all need to continually purge ourselves from the junk of the world by asking Jesus’ blood to cleanse our minds and bodies. Enjoy growing in Jesus! Jesus gives you Joy and Peace so enjoy this Christian life of ever maturing!  Find a strong Christian church that also has Bible study or home groups where you can meet new friends and pray together!
